THE BEGINNING

Hotel Montalembert opened its doors in 1926, at a time when Paris was embracing a renewed sense of vitality. In the wake of the interwar years, the Left Bank became a hub of intellectual, artistic, and literary energy. It was here, just steps from the Musée d’Orsay and Le Bon Marché, that Montalembert naturally found its place. Behind its stone façade, the hotel laid the foundations of what it remains today: a discreet address shaped by the spirit of its neighborhood and by the artistic soul of Paris.

The centenary’s musical evenings bring back the atmosphere of the guinguettes of the past, with jazzy rhythms, dancing tunes, and a light sense of elegance.
